2Handee Product Review - 2

Location: Long Island, NY
There is nothing worse than in the middle of fishing a big school of fish, going to re-tie and your clippers let you down. I have purchased countless numbers of clippers only to have them break, dull, come apart, fall overboard, turn to rust, or just get simply missed placed. We all know the importance of re-tying your lures after catching fish. This is especially true when there is a lot at stake, for example fishing tournaments. A clipper is a vital tool to have handy while on a fishing adventure. Now just think if you could have this tool with added features. This is what 2HANDEE has come up with.
2Handee Fisherman's Utility Tool
I’ve had the opportunity to field test the 2Handee tool. At first glance I was very impressed with the tool. The 2Handee was packaged very well. After opening the package I inspected the tool. It felt very durable and with many useful features. All the features are easy to access, and because the tool is a bit bigger than conventional clippers it seemed to be a little different in handling. The tool is made of stainless steel, so there are no worries of rusting.

I found the clippers to work very well. The rubber grip makes you feel more confident and comfortable while utilizing them. They are extremely sharp and also used it to snip braid. Using the 2Handee for only a short time period of time, I can’t conclude they will keep the sharpness after multiple uses over a long period of time. I did find it a bit awkward using the clippers with the bulk of the stone in my hand, but I am getting more comfortable with it. Being optimistic, it is convenient having the stone at hand while fishing.
The stone worked well; only after a couple of strokes on the stone there was a nice edge back on the hook. Equally as handy is the disgorger. I found myself using it numerous times.
Another helpful feature is the Jig Eye Reamer. In the past I used an old hook or anything I could find in an instant to clear the jig eyes out. As mentioned earlier, I do not know how well the point on the reamer is going to hold up after multiple uses, but for now it works well and very useful.
Although, I did not have the opportunity to put the knife saw and crank bait adjuster to a complete field test, they are definitely tools that I will use down the road, and are good additions to the 2Handee.
Overall, I am impressed with the 2Handee toolset.
Additional features that should be considered:
It would be nice to have the stone on a quick disconnect mechanism. This goes especially for the fisherman looking for a smaller profile. Presently the stone can be removed, but you are still left with the upper mounting plate the stone slides into; furthermore, there is a chance of possibly losing the small screw that holds the stone in place. A possible thought is to consider packaging a spare screw when purchasing the 2Handee.
A canvas pouch made for the tool would be helpful, since the bulk and weight of the tool make it impractical to hang the tool on a Lanyard or pull string, and it is too large to comfortably hold in your pocket. Having a belt mounted canvas storage pouch with Velcro on the flap would be the ideal solution, also helping to justify the cost of the tool.
