Suffolk County Bassmasters Win The Challenge Cup!!!!

The cup is ours in 08!!

Great Job by all team members this was a true team effort.

Congrats to Danny Mongo and Bob Mollergen on taking 1st place overall with 16lbs 1.5oz!

The total weight for all three SCB teams was 41.85lbs giving us a comanding win by almost 8lbs!

Win number 5 for Team Rodgers!

Copake is a long ride but it is a great lake, gin clear water.  Past SCB tournaments here have produced a couple of 20lb bags, it only took about half that for this one.

It was oven hot out there, but the fish didn't seem to mind they were biting.
For the second tourny in a row everybody reported catching bunches of fish but there was not much size. You could throw a jig and get bit all day and most guys did.

The weights were real tight all in the 10lb range. It came down to one 3lb bite, the 3.2lb lunker smallie to be exact. It was Dennis Sr who got that bite and Team Rodgers squeezed out another win with 10.12lbs beating Kevin kohler and Frank Kavanaghs 10.8lbs by 4 oz.
Bill Kohler and Kurt Wafenshmidt took third with 9.35lbs.

Its Team Rodgers At East Twin

This was a hot one, hot hazy conditions and no wind made it uncomfortable out there but the fishing was pretty good.  For a place that is normally
full of weeds they were nonexistent Saturday.  Still most guys reported culling through several limits, but there were not a lot of big fish caught.

Team Rodgers gets their 4th win of the season with 14.3lbs and had the 3.7lb lunker.

Kevin Kohler and Frank Kavanagh came in 2nd for the 4th time this season with 11.13lbs,
which edged out  3rd place Mike Depalma by 1oz.

Mike Depalma and Jared Trimboli win Highland!

All the weather reports said saturday we'd be hit by thunderstorms but they held up just long enough to get the tournament in. With the clouds and wind and prestorm conditions it seemed like we'd hammer them, but highland fished tough with not many big fish brought to the scales.
One team figured them out and ran away with this one. Mike and Jared weighed 12.8lbs including a 4.2lb lunker largemouth to win by three and a half pounds.  This is Mikes second win this season and Jared second win on Highland in a row,
Nice job guys!

Second place went to Kevin Kohler and Frank Kavanagh with a mixed bag for 8.15.

Team Rodgers Win The Congamond 2day

After weeks of beautiful stable weather, right before the tournament
a windy rainy coldfront came through and knocked the fish for a loop.
Day one was tough with most teams struggling to bring in a fish or two.
Only one limit was brought to the scales 8.3lbs by Jim Donely and new member Jack Curtain.
Dennis and Dennis JR took the lead with 4 fish at 8.9lbs.

Day two was much of the same with most teams struggling again.
It ended up a two team race with Donely/Curtain ounces behind Rodgers/Rodgers.
Both teams came in with nice Bags.
Donely/curtain put 10.11lb on the scale.
When the dust settled Team Rodgers were able to hold them off with a 14.9lb bag for their third win of this young season.

Depalma takes Candlewood.

Congrats to Mike Depalma for his win on Candlewood 4/25.

Mikes new nickname is Mr. April, he has won the first
tourny of the year the last two years running.  His weight of
11.12 out distanced Kevin and Franks second place weight
by more than a pound.

Nice Job Mike and congrats on christening the new skeeter with a win!
