Close one at Candlewood!
Our 7/26 Connecticut River tourny was moved to Candlewood due to unsafe conditions. Boat traffic on Candlewood is out of control in the middle of the summer but it is worth fighting it to be on such a great fishery. Fish can be caught shallow or deep on humps or in the weeds, however you like to fish you can probably find it here. It was a decent bite out there on Saturday with everybody bringing in good bags.
Rick cuttone and Ray Curiale dropped down a nice 12+lb bag for third place. Kevin Kohler had an impressive 12.13lb bag took second and lunker with a 4.1lb largemouth. First place was Team Rodgers with a 13.3lb bag for their 6th win of the year!
