"Floating Finese Craw" |

These craws are salt impregnated, garlic scented, and three
inches long. At Mt. Pisgah State Park, Towanda, Pa., I fished
two colors (black/ blue with blue pinches and green pumpkin)
as a jig trailer on a 1/8-ounce jig. I used a black jig with
the black/blue craw and a brown craw jig with the green pumpkin
craw. I pinched off the worm body so I can have smaller crawfish
size. Mt. Pisgah Lake is known to have lots of largemouth bass
in the 11 to 14 inch size. I fished a lot of shoreline cover
(lay downs, reeds, weeds, and rocks) in the two to five foot
zone. I would hop the jig-n-craw with occasional stops in and
around any visibly cover. The water was stained with visibility
of two feet and temperature of 72 degrees. The weather was partly
cloudy with highs in the upper 70’s. I had a good day
with 21 bass.
I liked the small size of the bait and the garlic scent. Because
the craw is in the floating series, the craw’s pinchers
floated up and making it look like a crawfish in a defensive
position... learn

"Baby Hoo Daddy" |
This bait is salt impregnated, garlic scented, and is three
inches long. At Cayuga Lake, NY., I fished this lure in a watermelon
pepper color. I fished it on a 1/8 ounce jig head and a spit
shot rig. I would swim, drag, or bounce the bait on the bottom
and around weeds. Cayuga Lake is know for its clear water. There
was 7 to 10 feet of visibility (fairly clear water) and water
temperature of 64 to 73 degrees. Both smallmouth and largemouth
bass were in the pre-spawn and spawning phase. I targeted primarily
weed and rocks in the 2 to 7 foot zone. The weather was sunny
with highs in the lows 80’s. I had a great day on the
lake with average bass weighing 2+1/2 pounds with the biggest
weighing 4+1/2 pounds.
The Baby Hoo Daddy has a ribbed body and a tail like a Zoom
Baby Brush Hog. A major difference between the two is the Baby
Hoo Daddy is a more compact bait. This is a great bait for clear
to stained waters... learn

"4" Tube Worm" |
This bait is salt impregnated, garlic scented, and is 4 inches
long. At Cowanesque Lake, Laweranceville, Pa., I fished the
watermelon neon color bait texas-styled with a 1/8 ounce slip
sinker. I would drag the bait on the bottom with an occasional
hop. I would throw it to any visible cover (stumps, lay downs,
and weeds) in depths of 2 to 6 feet. Water visibility was four
feet and temperature in the mid 70’s. The smallmouth and
largemouth bass were in the spawn and post-spawn phases. A nasty
storm with thunder and lighting had just passed but I managed
to catch 15 largemouth bass (the biggest weighing a bit over
4 pounds).
The Tube Worm has a worm-like body, but it is ribbed. The bait
has a tail just like a tube bait. This bait gave the bass a
totally different look... learn
