Art has over fifty years of fishing experience. During his 22 year military career he had the opportunity to hone his skills, and cover lots of water across the lower 48 states and Alaska. He grew up fishing the Okefenokee Swamp, lakes and rivers of South Georgia and North Florida.

He has been fishing and duck hunting on Lake Okeechobee for over eight years. He has been a U. S. Coast Guard licensed Guide since 1999. Art also guides on The Stick Marsh and Farm 13 near Melbourne, Florida, a catch and release impoundment loaded with Bucket Mouth BASS.

His tournament career covers Texas, Oklahoma, most of the east coast states, Alabama and Tennessee. Art is versatile, but his favorite bait is the one the fish are hitting. He is a talented and patient instructor, who enjoys his work. His greatest joy is hooking a child on fishing. Worm fishing is at the top of his list, with top water and crank baits following closely behind.

Art is currently 22nd in the Gator Division of the Wal Mart BASS FISHING LEAGUE with one tournament remaining for the current year. He has his sites set on improving his standing in October on Lake Okeechobee, which will be the last qualifying tournament of the year, and moving on the the Regional Championship.

He and his team partner are four points out of first place in the Florida Division of Angler's Choice Team Trail, and have qualified for the South East Regional Championship on Lake Clarks Hill near Augusta Georgia October 2002.

September through December Art will be fishing The BASS Open, South Pro Am Trail, competing for a trip to the BASSASTERS CLASSIC. This is Art's fourth year on the Open Trail.
