 Since
his earliest remembrance Brian has been around the water,
either with his father or his grandfather, fishing has
been a tradition in the Ritchie family. Brian considers
the Ohio River to be his home waters. Fishing a river
system, like the Ohio, has gave him the opportunity
to fish several miles of different water and to develop
several different techniques. In 1801 Thomas Jefferson
proclaimed the Ohio River " The most beautiful
in the world." The Ohio has been altered dramatically
since then but for Brian this historic waterway still
has beauty and has some great fishing.

He contributes his knowledge in the fishing industry to
Wal-Mart, where he managed the sporting goods dept, in
his hometown of Maysville, for 5 years. This gave him
the opportunity to keep up with all the new products and
to talk with the locals about bass fishing in the area.
This has proven to be a valuable tool in his young career.
Being a competitor, having the desire and love for fishing
Brian joined the Limestone Bassmasters in 1995 and has
been hooked ever since. And little did he know what the
next few years would bring. From obtaining sponsorships
from national companies to becoming tournament director
of one of the fastest growing team circuits in the country,
Angler’s Choice Tournament Trail. |
  From
conducting Casting Kids events and having a little boy
of his own, Brian knows that the future of are beloved
sport is in are hands. The opportunity to take a kid hunting
or fishing should never be denied. |
