As a father of two teenage boys, David's perspective on fishing is ever changing. He finds success as measured through their accomplishments, rather then just his own.

Although an avid multi-species angler, (Ever catch a 30# bass on a Zara Spook? Try Muskie fishing!), bass are his addiction. He has supported that addiction with a career in Foodservice, as an Executive Chef in hotels and restaurants, and currently as a District Manager for the nations premier on-site restaurant company.

David has been fishing competitively for 15 years, beginning at the club level in the 1987 with Sportsmen Bassmasters in the Minnesota BASS Federation. Serving as President 3 different times David earned the respect of his follow members and was awarded "Sportsmen of the Year" on two different occasions, and successfully qualified for the Minnesota State Tournament of Champions eight times. In 1999, David and several pals formed a new club, Legacy Bassmasters, as a vehicle to help them each achieve success in the professional tournaments run throughout Minnesota. In the past three seasons fishing the Team Supreme circuit, David and his partner have had numerous top 10 finishes and qualified for three consecutive National Tournament of Champions.
