I checked with the folks at the DEC and the reasoning behind the bands is Birds! Waterfowl picking up lead shot as grit to help with digestion. They ended up dying of lead poisoning. Now, I can understand that on a shallow marsh where lead shot wa

These are very scientific ways to pick teams. A lot of thought goes into each selection. :-)

I was sitting out for a while, but I need to mention one thing... I don't know if I got a bad bulk spool or not, but I recently bought a 1,000 yard spool of 15lb Seaguar AbrasX. All I can say is that I now call it "SnapX"... anyone else h

Sunline is awesome, but I have been using Seaguar Red Label for the past two years with great luck, its smooth, strong and not nearly as expensive as the others. Great stuff!!!!

I have noticed that the very light, and very heavy lines have a tendency to backlash more often. That looks like some pretty heavy line Nunz. What is that, 14 lb. mono. I've seen that picture before.... In my last nightmare.

Couldn't say it better Frank. Brendan has taught me alot about spooling line. Makes fishing more of a pleasure then getting fustrated with spool offs.
