Has anyone got to try the ardent reels i have and there great i have 2 of the xs 1000 2 of the xs 600 and 2 of the c 400 and the great thing is that they are a american company and there made right here in the usa. And i mean made in the usa i had the chance to tour there business and watch the reel being made and they also have the best warranty in the business 3 years im proud to support Ardent made in the USA.

I was contacted by one of the reps from Midwest Outdoors who wants me to use the Ardent reels. Hopefully I'll get my hands on them before the 2008 open water season. If so I'll let you all know how they pan out.

Brad, been reading your post, I just signed up for an sponsorship with Ardent Reels, I've used two of the older models and man they are very smooth. The XS1000 is unreal you really can cast it a country mile without backlash! Ardent wants me to run them through the ringer for over 200 days this year to see how they hold up. Let me get these new ones in and I will post a report on all of there models if you would like.
