I know the Rock Island Conservation Club isn't a bass club, but thought I would let everyone in the Iowa/Illinois border area know that the organization has openings for membership. Several years ago there was a waiting list.
There are two lakes with concrete boat ramps, and one walk-in pond.
My largest bass was around 8 pounds, but we've had reports of largemouth up to 10 and wipers up to 13. There are also walleye (may largest has been 7), catfish, crappie and bluegill. Oh yes, we have carp, gar and dogfish if interested \:D
Membership cost is $45 dollars per year for a family, with a senior discount of $35 per year for anyone 65 or older.
If interested call 309-787-4770, or go online at http://www.riccinfo.org.

Best of fishing,
Dan

Dan,

I used to travel that area for business all the time. I frequently would visit the John Deere Plant down the road on John Deere road every two weeks or so. Never had the opportunity to fish. I now have a different job and do not travel to Iowa anymore. I do hear the fishing can be fantastic in the area though. I have many contacts from the past that fish the circuit in your area. Most of them work or worked for Deere. Happy holidays and good luck.
