whats goin on BT. What fish do you like to target when you go fishing ? Just woundered with you bein so far up north and all . But these lures seem like my go to bait in order of " Go To "

1 . Weightless senko mostly 4 " and i pick the color i think fish are goin for. For example Bass seem to be focused on fry and all fry seem to be a mostly white . So i go with a white with balck flake. Twitch up and it flutters down. But they are pizzed off at the blue gill for stealin theit eggs so i go with blue with chart. Plus you can jerk swim senkos and the let them flutter at you pauses just watch your line. To date i have caught bass, catfish, bluegill, crappie, mudfish, gar=lookes like a fish that humped a gator,2 alligators one 3 foot and one 4 foot, and a huge snaping turtle= like a turtle that humped a gator.

2 . Is a spinner bait white and chart with 4 or 5 bands that are red with red trailer . But lately the ponds and lakes i go to luuuuv the tenn shade gold and brown with black specks, this one has four gold willow blades so it looks like a school of fish with fry buzzing by the banks it seems to work . Toss it out far and workin it slow on bottom is good times. Let it fall on a slack line but watch cause they will get a bite on the way down.

3. Is a buzz bait. White /chart, again with the 5 red bands and red hook, i mainly cast 1/4 ounce and big fish luuv them . The black is the way to go at night .

4. A jig that is black with red bands and a white and chart with a craw trailer.i throw 1/16 ounce and 1/4 ounce. I throw these small because i feel the trailer gives it weight and i always go salt inpregnated. And my garcia casts a mile with lite weight.

I honestly feel that if i throw one of these four i will get a bite. Crankin doesnt work for me but MR Craine is tryin to help me , Thank you by the way if you see this. I like throwin crankbaits so i give them plenty of tries. Well good fishing to ya

MBBass, ggo question.
1. Deep crankbait-wood-no rattle, perch, white or fire tiger color.
2. Gold blade Classic spinnerbait with salt & pepper skirt or chartreuse/blue.
3. Mann's 8 inch Snake Lure, black neon or purple fleck, lots of action and has the patented hard-head.
4. Bomber 5-A in fire tiger or blue back/chrome> That's my choices, anyone else? Johnnie

I live bout an hour north of Columbus so I have many options!
At least once a summer Im fishin Lake Erie for walleye. Very early spring is a great time for muskies. Of course I do alot of bass fishing. Late fall they usually stock trout in a few ponds locally. Umm oh and when we get riled up we go down to the ohio river for catfishing..My biggest cat so far is about 30 pounds. I'll have so post that pic sometime!

Oh and such wonderfull posts on baits I better expand mine a little.

A big black jib with streaks of blue...I have been using this baby alot and the size of my bass caught has grown! I cant say enough about using a jig

Ive used alot of meph spinners..Ive had alot of sucess with them too..the problem is u can tell when the blade ant spinning right and u know your just wastin ur time on that cast. Has anyone els ran into this problem?

Favorite bait, eh? If I had to choose just one lure for the rest of my life... it would be a Jig and Trailer combo. That has always been my goto lure and has been the driving force behind more tournament wins for me than any other lure I own.

More specifically:

3/16 oz., Black/Blue/Purple Jig, with a Greenpumpkin or Black/Blue trailer. Lately I have been using a twin tail grub, but I am a big fan of the Beaver Style trailers too...

It's true, the jig and combo is the real deal. lots of big fish taken every year. I've seen tough times whn they wouldn't eat anything else. Good choices. Johnnie

On the in-line spinners, I always spread the spin clevis just a little seems to help them spin easier. I also prefer a larger size bait up to a #5 which spins good.

Hey Puncher, sorry I missed this question, I was away fishing a tournament and had no internet access.

I use smaller swimbaits mostly (6" or less), so I went with the G-Loomis SWBR904 7'6" 12-25 lbs test 1/2-3 oz Mod-Fast action Medium power

G-Loomis rods are "price fixed" which means that everyone is supposed to sell them for the same price. That being said, I'd look for the rod at a place that has great customer service and a good return policy.
