Just wondering if u guys use um...I've been in the habbit of tying most of my baits but swiivels do make switchin lures so much easier.
Im also a little hesitant to use sinkers on my crank baits but some of um just dont have any weight to um.

Ah well opinions anyone?

Brendan and Mr. Craine know more than i do . But i am learning fast. But if they are light i would bet that they float . Try putting a split shot on the back treblehook. This will help with the weight and the more you add the longer it will stay in the strike zone . It is fast way to change lures but i Think the more links and all that, is just another link that can keep you from bringin in they big girl . But that is just my opinion . I have a buddy of mine that does that with his rod that he has set up for just crankin .

But as for me i tie everything 10 loops then back thru the bottom loop and thru the loop you just made and tighten . This not that i dont know the name for maybe polymer knot ? This knot never treats me wrong and my buddies knots fail them all the time . Good fishing to ya and the strike king king shad baits work GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like tony da tiger

BT, just wondering what the issue is with the crankbait? Is there a specific reason why you want to weigh it down? As for clips and snaps, you can use them with crankbaits... in fact I know some guys who will purposely remove the "O-ring" and replace it with a snap so they get more action from the lure. One thing about snaps/clips is that they tend to collect weeds and slime during the retrieve. You mentioned a swivel in your post. Some clips come with a swivel attached, the problem you could experience with that it interfering with the action of the lure (too much weight at the nose).

Hey brendan , I have been playing around with my floating crankbaits . And if you add a split shot to the back treble it makes the crank look like a feeding baitfish hitting something on top water . Since i have been doing this my catch ratio has went way up ! This maybe something That only works here in the south . But i doubt it .

I"m wanting to be able to cast these crankbaits as far as possible. Some of these babys are so light they just dont go nowhere. I've never thought about adding sinkers to the hook itself...
