With oil at $88 a barrel, gas is coming down. I can almost afford a trip to the Big O or Lake Kissimmee! Yippee!!

If the government would tap into our oil reserve we would see gas in the upper ones or low twos per gallon. If that happens, I'll be able to make a trip at least once a month outside my county (Sarasota, Fl) again and fish some of the tournaments in my old fishin holes!

I'm not sure what the driving price to get the oil prices down is other than big business trying to stimulate the economy so we consume more, but we need to see a much bigger drop. No consumption means low prices (unless they cut the supply down). Maybe this will help the big 3 and stave off layoffs, keep transportation costs down and keep the farmers costs down therefore providing us cheaper food. All in all- low gas prices keep the USA going in the right direction and gives me a chance to fish my favorite lakes again!!

Summer is over... at least in the northern parts of the US. Most folks I know have already put their boats away for the season. People are traveling less for vacation, day trips with the families, etc. I'm sure this all has something to do with it. It still is too high though!!! I like what you said... let's see some upper 1's or low 2's...

Although, I would love to see prices fall to the 2's in general, it was nice yesterday filling up my car and the price was in the mid 3's...seems sad to get excited about that number.

Light, sweet crude for November Delivery fell $1.44 to $86.99 a barrel in afternoon trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange, after fluctuating between positive and negative territory earlier in the day. Crude prices, which have been under pressure amid fears over weakening demand, was down $4.00 to $82.59 and had tumbled as much as $5.46 a barrel to $81.13.
Keep going baby. How come the gas prices do not come down as fast as they went up? I say something fishy going on here.

Gas prices here in Sarasota down to 2.19 a gallon. Time to get out on the lakes again! I guess the feds didn't have to tap into the reserves to get it this low and that's even better news! Let's go fishing!

Let it keep falling! I don't think anyone will complain if it gets below $2 per gallon!!!

Light sweet crude for January delivery, dropped 59 cents to 48.83 dollars a barrel for futures. Wow, what a change from July!! If you still have a house, car, food, job and a boat it's time to go fishing (unless you live in the cold north). Temperature is awesome here in sunny Florida. Off to the lake this weekend!!

Well it is real cold here in the North East making fishing tuff but I did get gas this morning for 2.09 a gallon. Heard there are places that have seen under 2.

At the Shell station in Castaic gas went from $2.09 for regular on Sunday down to $1.99 tonight. First time I've seen it under $2.00 for a long , long time.

OK, so now think back to when we heard for the first time that gas was going to rise to over $2.00 per gallon. People were furious... one of my friends tells me "just wait, it will get up to around $3.00/Gallon and then eventually come back to around $2.00 and you'll be so happy that you're only paying $2.00/Gallon"... I hate to say it, but he was right... and since it was way over $3.00 for so long, I'm ecstatic!

I'm sure everyone has a similar story...

I haven't completely filled up my 35 gallon tank on my boat for over 6 months until this past Thanksgiving Holiday. Wow, I can breath again after seeing the bill. It was nice going full out on the lake and not worrying about running out of gas or paying a lot for it when I was through!!
