Hey with the new year upon us I though it might be nice to start a listing of what we are running? I will get it started:

2007 Champion 183CX dual console with a 150 Merc OPTIMAX.

Features:
Lowrance X135 console, eagle 320 bow, Eagle 502IGPS console, Moosehead rod organizer, and a AM/FM CD.

Excellent rig I rate it A+

What about the rest of you?

See them, heck, she stinks like a school of Bronzebacks!!! I can't get the smell out! lol

I think the white paint is turning brown from all those brownies coming over the rails!

If only she could break ice... then I'd really have something special...

Butch,

Everyone has just been lurking around lately. Not sure why (sniff, sniff... deodorant is still working here) lol

I like the heads up boat-vs-boat competition... what do you say... pink slips? ;\)

Pinks? Only if its on Lake Erie with 4-5 foot waves as no boat handles the rough stuff better than a Champ. You know I need a head start as my 150 vs you 225 is a David vs goliath event. I guess the good news is both are injected so fuel management is not an issue!

Now if that doesn't stir up the masses they don't have a pulse (lol).

Butch since we started this thread, about 20 people have visited the boards.

Sometimes when you have stopped by in a while you have to play catch up before you get into the current stuff.

My cousin has the the 19' Champion with a 175 Yamaha. They are great in ruff water... no question.

Erie would come down to ounces man!!! That places is just sick!

I have been to Lake Erie with Brendan and yes we did Mach 5.......LOL.
One of the days we went out in the main lake and there were steady 4-6 footers with occasional 8 ft sets coming. After going 3 miles we looked at each other and said how can you possibly fish. We ended up that day making our way back to the harbor to put a major spanking on the smallies.
Nothing like making a run back 8 miles on Erie with a nice chop (probably 2 footers) and 60 mph was a crawl. We came back that one day and we were above 70 mph. I know this because my hat was sucked out from under my butt and was never seen again. It had to be one of the best trips I have gone in my life. Giant bronze backs. We kept catching them one after another until we called it a day.

We were up there for a full 5 days Butch and when I tell you we were pretty beat up... we were "pretty beat up". You couldn't hold another smallie without pouring blood from the cuts on your hands. It was brutally-sweet! (I like to make up my own sayings once in a while)

We fished ourselves stupid... After dark, we would come in and get dinner after being on the water all day, get something to eat and then go out back of the hotel and fish off the docks. It was just insane.

Hi bassin butch nice to meet you.

Here is what I'm running. I got a 16' foot 1944 wood war canoe with a 44" center beam.

2- 6061 Machined aluminum oar's which are anodized and black coated.
2-Solid brass center brkts with SS swivels for smoothness.

Ran heavy cable line to my bow mounted Lowrance HDC-10 fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter.

Covered my seats in high quality pleat-her black with yellow stripes like Reese.

Next to the HDC-10 I got my bow mount Minn Kota powerdrive V2 with auto pilot.

Still not sure what I'm putting on the back 200 or 250 VMAX. lot of my friends are telling me the 200 should be enough but I'm not sure.

Oh yea I also got the SPOT SPT Satellite Personal Tracker. Just in case I get lost.

LOL I'm cracking myself up writing this.

All Joking aside I like what you started with this topic I'm very curios of what you guys run and its interesting to know how you feel about your boats, I want to buy one myself and hearing what you guys have to say helps out.

We've got another smart@ss around here (it's about time)... that's some funny stuff Anthony... and on a 1944 wood war canoe, you have to go with the 250 Vmax! crazy
