Something about driving those bass boats so fast. Once they get up on the pad sometimes they have about one square foot hull surface in contact with the water.
You could see in one of those runs the guys boat was getting a little squirley. At those high speeds most of the boat is out of the water anyway, which means you are literally flying through the air with very little contact with the water.
Of course this is why they are so fast but on the other hand, it doesn't take much to get them out of shape at the top end.
