I caught this Beauty at 6:06pm off the Boat Launch side of the Lagoon. I was down to my last 15 yds. of line (Maxima 8 lb.ultra green)on my reel so I was casting right pass the rocks not expecting catch anything really.. I was using just a regular split shot set-up with a 6 inch Berkley green worm (ya the ones that come with the poles!)
Imagine my surprise when I got a "tug" from this Fish.. Luckily I was surrounded by plenty of onlookers to cheer me on, and even got a lifeguard to weigh it and take a picture. This makes up for all the days that Ive come home from the lake with nothing more then an empty pack of cigarettes and a farmers tan. Not a record, but my personal best and a great christening of my new Abu Garcia silvermax Baitcaster Rod n Reel that I got as a present from my Family (Love you Liz and Jeremy!)

Nice LMB Bassaholic...that's the fish that will get you through those days at the lagoon when nothing seems to work.

I know what you mean Bassaholic...went out from Paradise Cove at 7:00 AM to 10:30 on my tube and zero luck. Getting pretty warm today. Try again Saturday Morn.

I'm afraid to go to the lake! its gotta be overrun by now with weekender Kids throwing Rocks in the water and parents casting Sea Poles across the lake with power bait hooked to 27 treble hooks while dumping all their trash into the rocks .... the poor fish dont have a chance!!!

After fishing this morning I seen Geo fishing from his usual point so I drove over to say hello. Along with 20+ fishermen scattered on the shoreline rocks a guy came with his two young kids, climbed down to the waters edge and placed a model remote controlled speed boat in the water. Unbelievably he proceeded to ZOOM out the buoy and up and down the shoreline in front of everyone who was fishing. I left the lake shortly after but if I had been fishing I know I would have gather other fisherman and politely ask the guy to leave...couldn't believe it!

These people should get arrested.
no lisence, no respect, no knowledge. they should have a DFG officer on hand.

u should have grabbed the boat and broke it

The guy at the front should have a quick car check or something.

NO Remote boats
