Hey guys i was reading the fav topwaters and i thought of something. I was wondering what was the max depth you guys ahve caught bass on topwaters. I know if they are aggressive they will come up farther but????

Swimbait, I have taken bass on Zara Spooks sitting over forty feet of water on Bull Shoals Lake. The fish were suspended at twenty feet over a flat bottom. On the same trip, I caught bass on the bottom in 60 feet of water on a purple plastic worm. Tough conditions, but productive. Johnnie Crain

One big plus about the Zara Spook is the incredibly good casting distance you can get with it.

Even from the shoreline at Castaic you can easily reach water 40 ft. deep or more.

I've had bites come on as far out as I could cast it at the Lagoon. I figure the water must have been 30 ft. plus. The one I fish the most is silver on the bottom and blue on the top.

ok thanks guys. i remember i caught my first swimbait bass on a topwater BBZ on a full cast from the launch ramp on shore
