Lets have some fun picking our favorite color for specific lures. The ones you would tie on to fish somewhere new. Crankbaits? Spinnerbait blade/skirt? Jig skirt? Jig Trailer? Topwater lure? Plastic worm?

Spinnerbait - again since one choice - Chartreuse and Blue Silver double willow
Jig Skirt - Brown
Jig Trailer - Orange
Topwater - Black
Plastic Worm - Aarons Magic

I'm with Robo on this one, I really need a bit more info to dial it in. But Let's go with I'm invited to go with a friend to a lake unknown to both of us, what would I have tied on when I got there: Crankbait - Firetiger Jig Skirt - Pumpkin Jig Trailer Pumpkin with Orange tips Topwater - Baby Bass Plastic Worm - Black Grape Spinnerbait - Black and White with Single Silver Colorado
I'd love to do this for nights, dark water, clear water. We could do our "Fives"

Worried about swimbait101? Why no spinners of cranks? We have some great information and articles on both at Bassin USA.

Conley, good tip about the crawfish. They do change color during the year. Ours right now are a vivid green with orange claws.

Good selections. I just heard of a color for spinnerbait skirts I didn't know about-Cole Slaw- green, orange and white mix. I haven't tried one yet-haven't found one yet. Johnnie

Interesting you mentioned what bass will eat!! From what I can see in any body of water where bass are top of the food chain.... anything that moves in the water that will fit in their mouth is fair game.
I was wondering... do any of you guys know if largemouth bass will eat vegetation if they get real hungry. Like a little salad to go along with the rainbow trout fillet?
