The video on their site makes it look pretty awesome, but I checked out the price and it is way too expensive. Looks like it works well though. Why would you use this instead of a regular anchor? Is it faster to deploy and quieter?

No need to dig out an anchor
Hold the boat still during dock skipping
Hold the boat at will anytime within 5 seconds.

I could go on and on, since the first time I layed an eye on this: I had to have one.

I can certainly see why these things would be popular. I don't think many people will use them for anchoring though-only good in shallow water. Lots of good uses tho. Good luck with yours. Johnnie

Looks trick to me. Probably saves a lot of wear and tear on the trolling motor.
