lol... man, oh man... you guys are right... we were all talk during the cold months. Truth be told, I've been having to much fun catching and I keep forgetting to snap a few pictures.

Here's a nice Smallie from Candlewood Lake... the picture doesn't do the fish justice.

Oh yeah, and then while working on a product review there was this little lady that destroyed a Keitech Swing Impact Fat 4.8". Check out the "bug eye" on this pig... Fish was 26" long (No B.S.) and as wide as the seat on that picnic bench which was made with a 2" x 10". You've gotta love our little Long Island ponds!

lol... Yeah, Ron, she was a real fatty... one for the camera for

for Frank, he brings in some serious monsters... don't be fooled by his modest statements... that man knows how to catch the big ones.

I'm sure Frank is a great fisherman...I was just yanking his chain trying to get a response..to no avail! I just wanted to see some East Coast fish for my West Coast brothers to see!

Oh no, do not lift the curse. It felt pretty good after being severely schooled quite a few times on "my water" last season!

Well LOOK who finally showed up!!! One good night and Bingo! It was a real solid night though! Ron, I have pics of his fish but he wants me to whitewash the entire background so no one knows where we were!! It will look like he caught them in a blizzard!!!

It is OK to white wash the background. We live on a really small island! It seems like we went off topic. Put the curse back!

I guess it comes from my surf fishing days. I managed to get in and out of places real quick and quietly to preserve a lonely bite. Some places had room for only a few guys. I wanted to make sure I was one of those guys!!!

I found the Curse, and shame on me for not picking up on it right away. I missed a fish today about 5 pounds and another smaller one. I saw both of them, got them to take, hit them and they spit the hook the first time they turned. Thats usually the sign of a bad hook set, not all the way in. So after the second fish this afternoon, I just put that set up down and pulled out my flippin stick to really send the hook home. I didn't get another hit and when I was putting my gear away I looked over my original set up. The hook on my jig was bent up. I had no true point, If I had checked the rig out Last Tuesday night I would have noticed it then! Here's a picture of the jig point. Photobucket See how it turns up, thats from pulling it on wood or rock. The point was dulled to the point of not catching my finger when I pulled it across, so the fish felt the hook, I got it to bite a little bit and as soon as they turn or jump and there is just s scosh less tension in the line out pops the jig. Hopefully this ends it.

Shame on you! I can see the rust on that hook from here!!! The hook point makes it twice as bad!

May the fish Gods judge softly the error of your ways!
