Des Plaines River (Section of the IL River Waterway ) ( Three rivers area ) Fishing report ! 9/4/10

Water temp is the high 70's to mid 80's . With a cold front that came threw on Thursday night the largemouth bass are schooled up in the heavy grass matts on the upper end of the Des Plaines river pool ! Shad colored spinerbaits and Manns baby minus crankbaits in red crawdad worked best on the edge of the grass and Spro frogs worked well over the top of the grass matts ! Main lake points adjacent to to the main river also are effective with black or plum colored zoom trick worms !

Bass action is starting to heat up as the weather starts to cool down ! Water Temp from 63 (mouth of the Kankakee River ) to - 80 degrees ( Joliet Power Plant). Grass flats at the mouth of the Dupage River, Route 6 grass flats, and the grass flats by Empress Casino are all productive areas right now ,Spro Frogs , Spinnerbaits, and plastic tubes in and around the grass is key. Tight Lines !!!
