Well guys, fished my Tournament of champions this past Sunday on Lake Ronkonkoma or as I call it Ronkochobee. Water was a chilly 57 degrees and the fishing was tuff. Cool thing is ronk actually has grass now in water up to 10 feet. It comes to the surface!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Threw everything in the box. Jigs, dropshot, swimbait, spinnerbaits, lipless cranks, cranks, seinko's and worms. Was a very tuff day. Morning started at a cool 46 degrees. Fished outside edges, drop off, contour edges with nothin doin. Flipped shallow still no luck. About 11 am fish finally started showing up on screen. Saw them attacking baitfish on screen. Targeted them and ended up with a boat full of Walleye.......lol. About 1 Pm I focused strictly of the deep outer grass edge. I managed three short bass. At this time I was getting really nervous. Stuck with flipping the edge and downsized. I then caught a 13 1/4 inch bass. A keeper thank God. With a half hour left I had the most incredible hit and missed the fish. Sure it was a nice bass by the way it hit. Tail between my legs I headed in with my one dink I caught. Worst part was I had my three kids, my godaughter and her boyfriend, my girlfriend and her daughter come to the wieght-in. Well amazing enough my little bass was good enough to win the tournament of Champions. Everyone had the same difficulty getting bites. I took the prize money and gave my Godaughter some cash for helping with the kids and the rest went to a family dinner . Tracy and I took our four kids to Friendly's for dinner. Thank you little bass for a wonderful dinner. Little Nunz was so excited to take the bass out of the well for the wieght-in. Alana let him go, to grow bigger. Everyone was happy!!!! Never give up!!!! I shared my pic and tried my best to make it look as big as possible...lol
Thank you Twin Forks Rod and Reel for giving me the opportunity to fish the Tournament of Champions. You all are a bunch of guys and great fisherman. Hats off to all.

and there she goes to get bigger for another day.....
