hey guys,
i usually have the time to get out to the lake and fish, but when i don't i result in going to the community park and try my luck there. the only problem is that the seaweed, a flat, long leafed, plant, is wayyyy overgrown. the river is beautifully clear, constantly cold, and very fast flowing. i know for sure that lunkers are hiding beneath the depths of the plants, because i pulled out a 17" previously. If any of yall have any tips about a lure that would do good in the high current and not get snagged in the weeds, maybe even go into the weeds without getting snagged, it would be of GREAT help, thanks alot and good fishin to ya'.

Strikeking,
I would try a six inch, purple, straight tail plastic worm texas rigged with a weed sinker, these sinkers have long points and are designed for weed fishing. The straight tail worm works best, sometimes, curly tail worms will wrap around a weed stem. You may also want to add a shot of fish formula to the sinker and worm, helps the bait slide through the vegetation. The purple color works great in super clear water. A Moss Boos might also work, its a flat, wide topwater lure, maybe even a rat would work. A weedless, weightless tube can also be efecctive. Good luck, Johnnie ;\) \:\)

johnnie,
will the moss boos do good in fast flowing water, and will the rat also do good in the current?
thanks,

Strikeking, no, the moss boss and rat won't work well in current. They're mostly designed to be used in mossy-weed matted areas with no current. Better stick with the straight tail worm or swimming spoon fished very slowly. Johnnie ;\) \:\)
