I have been catching the little guys on 6" Berkley Curly Fries but can't get the big boys to bite. I have used your suggestions in approaching the water (staying low, dark colored clothing, wlking softly, etc.) but just can't seem to find the big guys. Can you help me out? I get good and fat little ones, just no bigger ones.

Rookie, try full size topwater baits, fished slowly across the surface or eight to ten inch plastic lizards fished along the bottom away from the shoreline. Big fish prefer big bait. Often, the larger fish are right there with the smaller fish, but the smaller ones are much faster and grab the bait first which in turn spooks the larger fish. The smaller ones shy away from the larger baits most of the time. Johnnie
