HERES SOME IDEAS....

RUBBER BANDS THAT ARE USED FOR BRACES THEY ARE TINY ,FIT JUST RIGHT,PUT IT ON, SLIP THE HOOK UNDER IT AND FISH IT WACKY STYLE...THIS SAVES THE SENKO FROM GETTING TORN UP!!

SOME GUYS ARE USING SCOTCH TAPE,JUST PUT IT ON WHERE THE HOOK GOES THROW..

USE THE BBQ LIGHTER ON THE NOSE AND EGG SACK JUST TO TUFFEN IT UP....ROLAND

Roland- Some of the guys from my CT Club slice sections approx. 3/8" from used (or new) tubes. Using oily scent products, they slide the sections over the Senko to the area the wacky-hook will penetrate. They claim they now get more bass per Senko and not more Senkos per bass!
Pete and I bought O-rings to do the same thing as you did with the rubber bands. He said it didn't work with the 4" Senko (slipped of and he lost the Senko) and I haven't tried mine with the 6" or 7" yet. Will advise. (O-rings aren't cheap, though) JoeM

Here is another tip, if you are rigging them Wacky style with the hook in the middle. Take some flexible, but strong fishing line, such as Fire Line, and thread it through down the middle with a needle. Then tie a knot on either end, and apply some Fishin' Glue. I picked up the line part from TJ Stallings of TTI, but added the glue suggestion myself.

Also, try a Daiichi Bleeding Bait Circle Bend hook. This is mainly known for bait fishing for catfish and drum, but works great for this type of rig. Just remember, when using this style of hook - let the fish do the hook setting. Give it a firm tug, but don't set the hook as normal.
