On-3, Having fished the biggest river of all (MIssissippi) for several years now maybe I can help. For bass from the bank, I'd simply use a black on black jig and pig. The water is dirty and the black shows up best. I have taken river bass on this bait when it would disappear from view in less tha one inch of water. For stripers I'd use a large tandem spin spinnerbait, black skirt, copper blades, copper works best in muddy water. Catfish is basic dip baits etc. For the crappie, I wish you had a couple of BulletBobbers, this is not a promo, but the BUlletBObber allows anglers to fish live minnows along a tree lined bank. The Bobber is designed to run right or left of a straight line so it would be possible to cast downstream and retrieve the minnows and bobber and have the rig slowly move along and away from the shoreline. Look them up at www.BulletBobber.com. Either way I'd use a float and minnow or a small-lighweight Road Runner jig in chartreuse. Good luck, let us know how you do. Johnnie ;\) \:\)
