well tomorrow i am goin up to a lake yo do some fishing and i bought some stuff and want to know what you think...now first this lake is a pretty clear lake mostly dominated by trout but there are bass in there i have never caught one from in there but im sure gonna try.. i bought some zoom flukes in watermelon, baby hog in black sapphire, 5" super grub in watermelon, senkos in blue black/chart flakes, a rapala countdown in rainbow trout color and if all else fails a blue/silver kastmasters for some trout fishing...i was looking for tips on what to use when and where and how to use it and what you think will work...thank you much

on-3, In most California lakes, trout are the basic forage for bass. You most likely will need to strive for trout colored lures. Swim baits will work very well, I'd try a five inch swimmer with a 1/4 ounce head. Green colors are also good, and the watermelon should be okay. I may be wrong, but I don't look for the black/sapphire Brush hog to do much. I love them here in Iowa, but our water is dirty most of the time. Using the flukes and senkos Texas rigged with no weight should work, try to fish some main lake points and if there are any creek channels, try the back ends of them. Fish the clear water a lirrle faster than you narmally would fish, don't let the fish get a good look at the baits. Good luck, keep us posted. Johnnie ;\) \:\)
