Subject: Stick Marsh & Farm 13 Catching Report

Catching has been AWESOME! The specis are biting and the bass are biting. I know the specs are biting because they are pulling them in one after another in the spillway area. The bass are eating shiners like they just came off the beds and they want to gain their strength back. Going to be some hot topwater action soon!

The lake level is dropping slowly. Do not let this discourage you. Every summer the lake levels drop. And that is important to the topwater bite. The shad are in pods and the pods are being seen. Soon the bass will be in their summer haunts and eating on the shad. Soon!!!!

Right now the water temperature is in the upper 70's. The water temperature varries a little on a daily basis. All related to weather. No big deal! Except it is getting right for artificials!

Friday I took out John MacKeller and his wife. Lets see. We started with eight dozen shiners. We ran out at 12:15. That was a big bunch of bass later. Both husband and wife caught the largest bass of their lives. The Mrs got welcomed into the two foot club. Toptal bass put into the boat was 42. Photos attached. If the report you are viewing does not display the photos you may e-mail Hugh Crumpler @ bsncoach@gate.net and request the photos. Hugh will send them.

On Saturday Dan Klonowski brought his two sons, Matt and Lenny down for some bass action. The boys (all three) had spent the day before at Disney and were pretty wore out already. They opted for a later than usual start. Bass were caught by all- lots of um. Bass were missed by all- lots of um! Much was learned. Nice boys! All had fun and vowed to return.

April is looking to be a month full of bass action. You do not want to miss this. May is the topwater month of all time. And June looks to be super as well.

Maybe you do not understand why we get so excited about the summer months. It is not as hot as you think. The bass bite topwaters ALL DAY LONG!!!!! We scheduele times to avoid both heat and storms. That means we start early and finish before the afternoon thunderstorms but, before the majority of the heat.

Stick Marsh and Farm 13 are on the East Coast. Only a short distance from the Ocean. This means the weather is cooler here than inland and it also means that we get an ocean breeze (cools you off).

Legendary Professional Angler and Guide Hugh Crumpler takes his clients out catching at Stick Marsh and Farm 13. Hugh's website: WWW.HughCrumpler.Com offers guide service, maps of Stick Marsh and Farm 13, Garcia, Kissimmee, and Emeralda Marsh; Baby Bass Boats, AirBoats, and tube jig heads, photos, Stick Marsh and Farm 13 photos and more. bsncoach@gate.net 321-722-3134

For those of you who don't know about Stick Marsh, or Hugh Crumpler... Take a few minutes out and read this article I wrote. It makes mention of Stick Marsh and Hugh Crumpler.
http://www.bassinusa.com/busa/articles/tactic_technique/boldly_go.asp

Hugh was my guide while I was down in Florida... and what a guide he is. Some of the best fishing I have ever had.

It's rather funny how small the world is sometimes... several years later and Hugh shows up on my website, and he probably doesn't even remember that he guided me at one time...

Hugh is one of the best guides I have ever fished with, if you are going to Florida this Spring spend a day with him in Stick marsh a trip with him is like a "lay's potato chip" I bet you can't go just once. I was very suprised to see Hugh on this web site he is on the water so much. Two places you should go are stick marsh in Florida and Lake Erie(my opinion), I have not been to Lake Fork, I would also mention Toledo Bend but thats another story. Good Fishing Dan Bass
