The largemouth have been Slammin the Buzzbaits and Spinner Baits all along the seneca River in the Finger lakes region of New York. The water is cloudy now as the algae turns over, so use a shiny spinner, although they seem to be hitting as the bait bounces into the water from on top of the lilies. White, Yellow and Chartreuse baits seem to be working the best. I've been using 1/2 oz. baits with double spinners to catch the bigger ones, in the 2lb + range. While early morning and dusk are the best, we've been taking them all day long, in the inlets and other shallow, weedy areas. I had them literally bouncing off my boat after dusk as I crept home at the end of the day, last week. This is a river that's surprisingly productive and overlooked. Some huge fish have come out of here, including several reports of an unrecorded 28 lb record.

Don- Sounds like the Seneca River has a neat population of Largemouths. What is the history of the river? Does it also have Smallies? These baits with double spinners, are they tandem spinnerbaits?

And don't be surprised if some boats with other states registrations start appearing on the river. Thanks for sharing with us.
