Subject: Stick Marsh & Farm 13 Catching Report

it is Great to be back! Back on the water- back in the boat- back on my feet- it is just plain Great to be coming back! For those of you who were not aware I was in a boating accident on the Missippi River in Minnesota/Wisconsin in late June during a tournament. My knees and legs were severly injured. As I result I had to cancell this year' tournament scheduele and spen time at home mending.

For all of you who go for several months locked away in a building and don't get to go fishing I can tell you that when you say "It's just great to be on the water!"- I understand. It really is Great just to be on the water. What a blessing the Lord gave us!

Yesterday, Sunday, I arranged with Stan Daniel for Stan to meet me at the Stick Marsh & Farm 13 boat ramp. Stan had told me when I was ready to get back in the water he would help. Stan kept his word. I drove the boat. Stan guided us to the first spot. It was loaded wtih bass. But, they had shrunk in size considerably since Stan last located them.

Stan operated the trolling motor and I sat in the back. It took me several back lashes (professional over runs) before I could settle down into the swing of things. We caught a few bass- mostly Stan did.

I wanted to try my buzzbaits and Stan went along with what I wanted to do. What I had Stan do was run the boat down the middle of one of the old canals in Farm 13. I threw one of my Baby Bass Boats (TM) over the old levy and brought it across the clumpy vegetation. Stan was working a Chug Bug.

This pattern paid off- pretty quick. I had a umongous bite. Scared me so much because I was looking at Stan and I thought someone threw a cinder block at my lure. Any how I missed the bass but, we had an idea we were on some better fish.

It took me a few bites but I finally caught one around four or more pounds. Then Stan looked for his buzzbaits. Stan had left his in the truck. After considerable bargaining I loaned him one of my Baby Bass Boats(TM).

We figure we had about 20 really good bites on the Baby Bass Boats(TM) in about an hour and a half. All were extremely nice bass. Stan caught one at 10:25 AM that weighed 10 lbs and 6 ounces.

Stan reminded me that I told him many times that the Big BAss were caught between 10 and 2. Buzzbaits in the middle of the day in shallow water in the summer time? Yes!!!!!!! This is Florida. These are Florida Bass.

This action will continue through most of October. Come join the fun.

Now is the time to begin booking your trip to Florida for bass fishing. Whether it is for a trip this month, next month or during the spring NOW is the time to start the booking process. This winter Toho will be drawn and there will be no bass boat access. Those who want quality fishing/catching will want to fish Stick Marsh and Farm 13. There are only a few full time guides here and they will book fairly quickly.

There will be added numbers of boats on the water. Be in one of the boats with one of the professionals who regularly guide on Stick Marsh & Farm 13.

Hugh Crumpler is a Professional Guide who guides on Stick Marsh & Farm 13. www.HughCrumpler.Com bsncoach@gate.net

Hugh- Everyone at BassinUSA was shocked to hear of your accident and injuries. We hope that now that you have been back on the water again, it has revitalized you.

We'll be looking forward to your reports each week. Bass Wishes, JoeMo
