According to rumors I have heard Bandit Lures is going out of business. Does anyone know what the deal is if they are or not?

If they are I'm in deep trouble. My go-to 'money bait' for the last few years has been the 100/200 series crankers. In White/Black Splatter.

Over the last four years or so that bait has pulled out more than one Tourney for me, not a first every time, but moved me into the money enough to make me keep one tied on. Just in case..............

While not a 'big fish bait, it can usually pull a couple of bumpers to fill a sack limit.

Though it did take the big fish in two locals(all I fish anymore), 5-4 and 4-9 , one in early Mar, and another in late Sep.

There is something about the Bandit cranks that is slightly different enough to get a hit from fish that really get worked over on Eufaula (Ok) and the other local lakes.

Eufaula is a good lake, i personally have had my best crankbait fishing with luhr jenson speed traps on that lake usually in a bone color. I have a few bandits myself, and i have repainted a bunch of them for other people.

Well, if Bandit Baits is going under it's really hard to tell.

Local Wally World's got a massive rack full of them.

Of course they don't have any 100 series in White, Black Splatter. Why would I expect WalMart to do anything different.

Hows the fishing over there? I haven't fished that lake in quite a few years, but enjoyed it before i moved. I still pass by when I go back to visit my mom, its about half way there.

The fishing’s improving from the past few years. More and heavier fish are being caught, (look in Lake reports for mine about Eufaula from Saturday)

A week ago Sat, Tourney weigh in, 11 Smallmouth over four, three over five. Winning weight, five fish, 23 Lbs, all smallies, they said the lost two that might have added a couple more pounds. And lost one Largemouth at the boat that might have pushed them close to 30 with the two they lost.
Not just bass either, looks like the Crappie bite is going to be a really good one this year, about time, last few years has been tough for spring crappie run.

Still seeing a few old goats regularly dragging in nice walleyes too, but they don’t share their secrets! I need to spend some time figuring the walleye out on this lake. Most are caught by white bass trollers in the summertime as incidental catch. Nothing consistent.

Thats good that its doing well, I hate the color of the lake but always did well there anyway. I preferred fishing around the dam where its clearer, but being a non boater i didn't always get to do so.

I caught a 4lb smallmouth about 10 years or more ago out of there, back when they handn't been stocked long. Biggest smallie i have ever caught. It was during a federation qualifier tournament. caught it up near the dam on a C-rig fry. Good to hear they are thriving. Thats a huge bag even if it would have been largemouths they had.
