I am a fisherman on Long Island, NY and while crabbing the other day I saw an ad for this club (All Island Bass Masters). I have never heard of it before and want to know if anyone hear has any info about them.

Mike... MMT is right, these guys are having some issues and I heard that they are really doing a poor job handling the fish. Check out some of the bass clubs in our "bass clubs" section. Click on the link below to get right into the NY club section: http://www.bassinusa.com/busa/bass_clubs/ny/index.asp BC

Brendan- Your comments are well stated. I will refrain from any further comment on the effect of Carpetbaggers on the bass population. (Unless we get another question)

MikePal387- A good indication of a Bass Club is whether or not they are connected with a respectable organization such as B.A.S.S. They usually are involved in their community and with the state conservation dept., plus their tournaments respect and take care of the fish. Thanks for posting. JoeMo

Ray- Well said. Most of those Clubs are excellent choices.
By the way, since you will be up my way, smile as you go by. On the water, that is.
Thanks again. JoeMo
