did anyone catch on monday the bass yearbook show on ESPN 2 it was great they talk about clunn, woo and hank parker. also they talk about only federation winner @#$% i forgot his name, joe help me on this one after he won he died in a plan crash. i don't know if they are show more of them durring the week to lead up to the classic. hope they are! it was a great show!

Ray- MMT is correct. It definitely was Bryan Kerchal from Connecticut.

As I remember Rick Clunn gave a talk on what a great young person Bryan was. Also Rich Zaleski posted a wonderful tribute to the first Federation angler to win the Bassmasters Classic. I believe it is still on Rich's website (www.richz.com)

By the way, Bryan's Parents still work with the CT Fed and other fishing groups teaching youngsters all about fishing.

Bryan will always be remembered as the first.
