Hey I cat fish when Im not chasing them bass.
I love to eat channel cats so I would say they are my favorite. Plus the wife would rather catfish than bass fish so that one way I keep her happy, drowning a worm. She just loves it.

Cole, I like channel catfish, we have a lot of them in Iowa and what's special is they take crankbaits. I have caught more and larger chaneels on crankbaits during the summer than with any live or prepared baits. Cats can and do get quite aggessive during warm weather. I caught a ten pound eight ounce channel on a spinnerbait while on television fishing a Great Plains event, it was fun and well received by the audience. I have taken as many as thirteen channels to eight pounds on deep diving crankbaits while sorting through a limit of bass at another event. One time while trying to catch surface feeding bass, I throw a Zara Spook into a feeding frenzy and immediately caught a three pound channel cat. I think I may be in the wrong sport, we do have cat tourneys here. Nothing wrong with catfishing my friend. Good luck and take some of those of whisker fish for me. Johnnie Crain \:D
