Dom, there are unlimited ways to fish plastic worms as well as sizes and colors.
Here's a very brief run-down.
Four inch plastic worms for finesse fishing, small sinker and fine wire hook.
Six inch worms straight tail-Texas rigged, 1/4 ounce sinker-#2 bass hook -thread the worm on . Seven inch curly tail worm-Texas rigged, same hook and sinker.
5 or 6 inch beaver tail worm-flat tail-swim it off bottom #3 bass hook.
Colors= June Bug-basic black-purple black/blue-watermelon.
This should cover most applications, all you'll likely feel is a tap tap like a bluegill, set the hook-every time!! It takes awhile to get used toi fishing worms but it's well worth it. They almost never fail. Good luck, keep in touch. Johnnie ;\) \:\)

A wacky worm is a great method. You hook through the middle or the egg sack. Cast out near cover and watch the line. Spinning gear is good since you add no weight when sallow and only some nails of wacky weights if more than about 8ft.

It is a good way for new anglers

ya RW-reeler

Get yourself a metal coathanger. Cut it into little pieces.

If you want your wacky worm to sink faster, put pieces of the coathanger inside your wacky worm.
