Maybe it swallowed his trolling motor before they put it on the scale...who knows. I does look a bit light for 13 to me. I see some of the fish in Bassmaster and wonder what the real weight is...

Dom, looking at the photo and comparing the size of the fishs mouth to the guys hand and the sunk-in stomach I'd guess the fish at about 7 pounds, plus or minus two ounces. I've caught a lot of these kind of 13 pounders and am a very good judge of fish weights. I put it at twenty inches and 7# 2 ounces. With a nice fish like that why exagerate? I'd be proud of it. \:\)

i used to see that all the time in back of outdoor magazines, they had a page for people who caught 10 pound bass and none of them were truly 10 pounders.

people that lie like that take all the fun out of fishing, shame on them

In 2001 I caught a 6 pound bass. It looked almost identical to that fish. I was proud of that bass. I would not lie about it. He was 24 inches long! That is a nice bass any day in my book. If i could get the picture to upload I could show it to everyone on here. Could someone help me out with that? My Girlfriend also caught a 7 last March and I would like to upload it too. If anyone can help me, then let me know. jeremy_221@yahoo.com
