I just wanted to let everyone know that we are bringing back the "Bassin' USA - PHOTO GALLERY CHALLENGE - sponsored by Midwest Fishing Tackle". We will be announcing the official start date soon. Here's what you can expect:
Photo Gallery Challenge Sponsored by Midwest Fishing Tackle: Bassin’ USA is running a photo contest sponsored by Midwest Fishing Tackle. http://midwestfishingtackle.net/
We are extending an open invitation to everyone… submit any photos you would like entered along with a short description of 100 words or less about the photo. You choose which area you think your photo belongs in. All photos will be reviewed by Bassin’ USA to determine which of the following galleries they truly belong in: Wall of Fame, Wall of Shame or Wall of Goofs
Members will be able to vote on photos submitted into each gallery to determine a winner. We will be awarding a prize to the single photo from each gallery (Wall of Fame, Shame or Goofs) with the highest number of votes courtesy of Midwest Fishing Tackle.
Wall of Fame This is for the Lunkers. Only 5lbs fish or better should be submitted. Be careful, any conspicuous looking fish may end up on the “Wall of Shame”. We are looking for big fish that were caught in your state. Photos will be judged based on weight of the catch, and quality of the photo. Don’t worry we will take into consideration where your fish was caught…we can’t all live and fish in California.
Wall of Shame The name says it all “Shame on you”. The photos in this gallery can be anything from bad fishing techniques, poor boat handling which resulted in you sitting on a sand bar for hours, a pathetically small fish, or a decent fish that was held way to close to the camera in a desperate attempt to make the fish appear as though it were 10lbs.
Wall of Goofs This gallery is dedicated to those ridiculous photos that we hide from our Bassin’ buddies when they look at our photo collection… Like the time your buddy hooked that old timberland boot on a crankbait from your favorite honey hole. Staged photos are completely acceptable, so feel free to be creative, but let’s keep it clean.
Terms and Rules:
You must have a Bassin’ USA Message Board account in order to submit a photo and to vote. Members will then be able to vote on which photo they like the best. At the end of the quarter we will be giving away prizes from our sponsor, Midwest Fishing Tackle to the best photo from each gallery.
• Each Photo Challenge contest will run for six months.
• One prize per Gallery will be given courtesy of Midwest Fishing Tackle, to the member with the highest rating in that Gallery.
• You must be a member of the Bassin’ USA community to partake in the contest, as well as vote. Becoming a member is easy and free.
• Absolutely NO indecent photos will be accepted. This is a family friendly board, so have fun, but keep it clean.
• Submitted Photos must be your own and NOT a copyrighted image.
• All photos and content submitted are subject to terms and conditions of Bassin’ USA’s Terms of Service

I just want to let everyone know that Midwest Fishing Tackle has provided us with 3 $25.00 Gift Certificates to their online Tackle Store. We will be giving 1 $25.00 Gift Certificate to the winner in each Gallery (Wall of Fame, Shame & Goofs). The contest is FREE to enter, so you have nothing to lose.
You can check out their store at: http://midwestfishingtackle.net/
The last time we ran this contest, it was a lot of fun for everyone. So enter a photo and see what happens… hey, you might actually win!
Here are some of our favorite photos from the past:
Wall of Goofs
Quote: "Is he trying to lick-up that jelly on his thumb or is he ...just use your imagination!"
Quote: Scott consistently lacks focus on the water and seems to think this is just a game. His blatant abuse of his catches has to be put to an end. Please don't take this amateur angler out on your boat; he's terrifying! A clip from the movie "Return of the Blair Witch.""
Wall of Shame:
Quote: " Damon Sleighter says he caught this 17lbs 9oz. bass from Lake Aquila in Texas Using "The Finger Rest", but please folks we don't want to feature male-porn here ...let's keep the shirts on guys ...shame on you Damon! P.S. Damon please let us know where to send your "FAN" mail to?"
Quote: "This shot features the "Fish Abuser", Mike Miller from Wellington Florida, squeezing the life out of a lunker bass! This 7lb. bass was caught in Lake Walk in Water which is located in Florida. It was caught by free lining a wild shiner over the edge of hydrilla. She was released unharmed after a few pics of course..." Wall of Fame:
Quote: "Jason Ripke from New Jersey with Northeast Bassmasters. 6.5 lber on a deep rock pile with a suspending fat free shad in a bass pattern."
Quote: "Submitted by Brittany Griffith: I caught this fish at ClearLake Ca. April 2, 2002. In 12' of water split-shotin a Minnow. While my Dad and Brother were throwing artificials, Mom and I were dragging the live bait. My brother was the Bassmaster in the morning with three fish, but I ended that when I caught this 10+# fish. All the time, my Dad thought I was hung up..... Hehehe"
Best of Luck to everyone…
