We talk a lot on these forums about tackle, boats, techniques, weather, lakes, and so on. I am very curious about what you all wear on your feet during long days on the water. I'm a big guy, and foot comfort is very important to me. I'm trying to get a read on this by watching the pros, and they wear everything from sneakers to flip-flops. Let's see what the replies look like...

I always wear a regualr shoe , at the minimum a tennis shoe, I prefer what they call deck shoes, white low cut shoes with a rubber sole. Iam a cranbaitaholic and use them alot with several lyigg around on the floor, with sandals or flip flops i would be almost sure to get at least a pinky toe hooked and that's bad. Good luck with your search. Johnnie

Here is a site that where you can do some research. The site is Shopwiki.com and they have a large listing of different fishing shoes, which you can compare types and prices, and they have links to the actual stores that sell them. http://shopwiki.com/search?q=fishing_shoes&sb=1&grid=t&forceGoDeep=f
Good Luck. Wendy

Crocs are the rage here at present.Comfortable , they dry easily(just like an xmg handle)and come in so many colors you can have a different one for every day of the week. you can even get a spotted foot tan whilst fishing if you wish or put socks on.Cheers and great fishing. IAN

Ian, I completely argree with you. Crocs are becoming increasingly popular for many outdoor activities. They are VERY comfortable, and they are not "geeky" as Brendan put it, with socks. They will also last you a long time. Here's a little tip, add a little powder to the inside (If you are not wearing socks) and you will keep the shoes in good shape and your feet healthy. Ok so the girl came out for a moment..but you will thank me.
By the way for those of you that might be interested here is a site to Crocs Cayman Crocs Cayman
Also check out Amazon.com they have a ton of different variety and usually have ratings from customers. Here is a link Amazon Crocs
