Stripers are biting in the river arms and crappie and bass action seem to be heating up again. Yep, the weather's a bit chilly at times but it's worth it when fish are biting. Good luck and be careful out there. Beaver Lake's still very low and full of boat hazards. Beaver Lake Southtown Sporting Goods - Frank Divis says bass are deep and will hit plastics and spoons. The spinnerbait bite should come on at any time. Stripers are biting shad or threequarter ounce Rattle Traps in the Rocky Branch area. Crappie are biting near brush at Blue Springs. Point 12 is the place to find some schooling whites and stripers.

Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers - Lucy Johnson reports crappie biting black / chartreuse tubes in pockets from Hickory Creek to the mouth of Monte Ne. Bass are biting shallow crankbaits, jigs and spinnerbaits, especially from Horseshoe Bend to the Highway 12 bridge. Stripers are in the 40-foot range and will take spoons.

Hickory Creek Marina - Bill Pope says bass fishing has really picked up on spinnerbaits and crankbaits fished in the coves. Kentucky bass are off points and are biting spoons. Stripers are in the river arms and shad and brood minnows are the top baits. Crappie will hit black / chartreuse or red / chartreuse jigs and minnows fished tight to brush and stick-ups.

Beaver Tailwaters - Angie at Beaver Dam Store reports good fly fishing on midges, Copper Johns, scuds (copper ), Fergus BW Bugs, Woolly Buggers, and Hot Wire Princ es. The top lures are Rapalas (rainbow, brown trout ), spoons (watermelon buoyant, red buoyant, rainbow, brown trout ) and ginger / olive micro jigs. Bait anglers are using wax worms, night crawlers and Power Bait (red, sunrise, sherbet, pink, orange ).

Bella Vista Lakes - Nick Gann at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bentonville reports slow fishing. A few bass will bite swim baits or jigand-pigs fished near brush on Loch Lomond. Crappie action is spotty on jigs and minnows fished down to 20 feet.

Lake Fayetteville - Jim Black says bass are hitting crankbaits and spinnerbaits. A few crappie will bite minnows.

Lake Sequoyah - Crappie fishing's pretty good according to Jackie Smith. Minnows or orange / black tubes are working well right now. Anglers are catching crappie and white bass off the old bridge. Catfish action is fair on perch, liver or worms. Bass are biting spinnerbaits.

Upper Table Rock Lake - J. D. Fletcher reports topwater baits still working when shad bust the surface. Booyah spinnerbaits are catching bass in coves with standing timber. Crappie are tight to cover and will bite a minnow or jig.
